Animal Health and Welfare

Animal welfare is a major priority to us, all pigs will be inspected and if needed, will be blood tested before entering the Isolation unit.

This will ensure animals of a similar size are penned together before being transported either by road and aeroplane or by road and ship.

A major priority is the need to ensure that all animals have more than the required space to be able to move about freely.

We pride ourselves that all pens have chains hanging down as well as a football to aliviate any possible boredom and thus prevent further problems such as fighting.

A healthy animal is a happy animal, All of the members of the association, have considerable experience and will know immediately if an animal is unwell, If an animal is suspected of being unwell then, as proffesional breeders of livestock, the animal will be treated by us with the medication that is required.

The animal will be seperated from the rest of the herd if it is deemed to be nessecary and put under observation. This ensures that if the animal has a problem that we consider needs further treatment either by ourselves or by a vetrinarian, then the appropriate measures will take place.
