Paying for your Livestock

Our preferred method of payment is a ‘letter of credit’. This gives you the security of knowing that your payment is protected until the livestock is delivered to your satisfaction and it gives us protection because we know that the money is available once the livestock arrives in the destination country.

A ‘letter of credit’ may be obtained from your bank or you may use a specialist company to produce a letter of credit for you. In some countries, the local British Embassy commercial staff may be able to help*. When you are obtaining a letter of credit, please be aware that there are international banking and legal standards that must be adhered to, your bank or specialist company will be able to advise you on the rules that must be followed to ensure the smooth passage of both payment and therefore the livestock.

Local Payments now possible

Britasia Pig Genetics now have a system whereby you can pay at your local bank for pigs or semen in Pesos to aid the simplicity of purchasing quality pedigree breeding stock and pedigree semen.
