LICENSES

We have an excellent working relationship with the export staff at DEFRA within the U.K., all on first name terms. In the rare case that we have a question that we don't know thw answer to, we can call or e-mail and they will research and return with the correct answer so that we can comply with the legislation to enable us to always do what is required.  

We always have an expert herdsman travelling with the animals who helps to manage the paperwork at the airport side as this is another specialist department and we need to ensure that all paperwork as well as livestock are in order.        

Land Tranport:

We have all the neccesary licences to transport livestock both within the U.K. and throughout Europe by way of  lorry and ship, Having passed all the Defra Examinations for transport over and above 8 hours journeys. Whilst transporting livestock, a selection of medication is carried to ensure the safe well being of the livestock in transport.


Air Transport:

When arriving at the airport we always arrive several hours before unloading so the animals can be fed and rested before being unloaded. This ensures minimal weight loss and the animals' own welfare is taken into consideration with the food digested. On board the lorry is a continual water drinking system.

To date, we have never lost a animal  or had any animal that has been rejected upon arrival at it's destination, this is something we are very proud of and will endeavor to maintain.
